A UK doctor and his wife, which is also his nurse, kidnapped an African man by the name of Ofonime Sunday Inuk. Inuk is now 40 years old. He was kidnapped from Nigeria in 1989. At this time he was just 14 years old. He was forced to look after the house and the couple's children. The doctor and nurse were found guilty of three slavery and cruelty charges. When they kidnapped Inuk they promised him an English education, that clearly wasn't the case as Inuk was forced to work instead. They threatened him that if he ran away or told the police he would be arrested for being an illegal immigrant. He tried many times to tell the police but was often rejected. He finally seen the news report on slavery which made him realize that the life he was living was wrong. He also emailed a charity for help as well. It was determined that the doctor and nurse robbed Inuk of 24 years of life. He is now psychologically ill. The nurse and doctor had total control over his past for an identity papers the whole time. The couple is now being charged with child cruelty, slavery and unlawful immigration.
